Karlies Kelley
Karlies Kelley, originally from Panama, began her dance career as a Panamanian Folkloric dancer, traveling and performing across Panama as a primary dancer in a folkloric dance academy.
Since moving to the United States, Karlies has quickly become one of the top professional Salsa and Latin female dancers in Wisconsin. She has performed live with many local bands and is involved in many charity community events.
Currently, she owns a dance company with live musicians—Mash ki Nada.They incorporate folkloric Afro-Caribbean dances and music from all over the world and bring together a rhythmic fusion of authentic and exciting dances. Karlies is also one of the main dancers of the well-established Mambo Elegancia Dance Company where she combines ballroom and Latin dance styles.She has competed and placed highly in many local and out-of-state competitions.
Karlies specializes in Salsa, Mambo, Cha-Cha, Brazilian Samba, Cuban Rumba, Bachata, Merengue, and Lambada, and has instructed and competed in these dances all over the U.S. and Panama. She has danced in many different venues including Milwaukee public schools, nursing homes, weddings, birthday parties, and many other public and private events.
Karlies' classes are very energetic and fun, yet challenging and informational. She teaches the importance of proper technique and body mechanics, thereby giving her students the flavor and elegance to improve their dancing. Because she has lived the culture of these dances, she makes sure that all of her students can enjoy and learn the meaning behind them.
