Kathy Howell PT, OCS, CFMT
Kathy graduated with a degree in physical therapy in 1993 from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She began her career at Sinai Samaritan Medical Center in Milwaukee that same year. Kathy transferred to the Sinai Sports Medicine Institute in 1995, where she worked until opening up her private practice, Bodies in Motion Physical Therapy, in 1999.
Kathy treats patients with musculoskeletal as well as neurological problems. She has done her post-educational training through the Institute of Physical Art, and she became a Certified Functional Manual Therapist in 2002 through that institute. Kathy is specialized in joint mobilization, soft tissue mobilization, exercise prescription, movement re-education, body mechanics and custom orthotics. She treats people of all ages and varied injuries and illnesses including low back pain, Multiple Sclerosis, foot pain, headaches, neck pain, cancer, sports injuries, work injuries and more.
Kathy also works with many of the performing artists in the Milwaukee area including those from the Marcus Center, the Skylight Opera, Wild Space Dance Company, Trinity Irish Dancers and many professional and amateur ballroom dancers. Kathy is an accomplished ballroom dancer herself, which has given her valuable insight into the needs of the performing artist.
