Delaware House Dancers Fare Well at the Twin Cities Open ( View Pics! )
A group of Delaware House dancers recently competed in the 2008 Twin Cities Open, a national dancesport competition in Minneapolis. Two Delaware House teachers, Martin Cawston and Melissa Dexter, took a total of eleven students to compete in the professional-amateur (ProAm) and amateur divisions.
Everyone danced tremendously, and, as a whole, placed so well in all of their events that they earned Delaware House the prestigious Top Studio award in the out-of-town studio division! What’s more, Kathy Howell, owner of DH, was hand-picked by the judges to receive the “Best of Show” award based on her overall performance and wow factor! Finally, as if that’s not enough, Mr. Martin Cawston took 4th place for the Top Teacher award, which is based on total number of entries and placements throughout the weekend!
